# Subscribe or change your plan

Subscribe to Onform in the iPhone or Android app, on the web or by invoice, then upgrade, downgrade, move off Apple billing or add coaching seats.

Works on: iPhone, iPad, Android and web.

Where you subscribe decides who bills you and how you change your plan later: Apple, Google Play, or Onform directly. For plans and prices, see [onform.com/pricing](https://onform.com/pricing/). Not sure which plan you need? See [Who pays for Onform?](/account/plans-and-payments/who-pays-for-onform.md)

## Before you start

* **Sign in with the account you'll use.** Your plan belongs to the account you buy it on. If you sign in with Apple on one device and Google on another, you may have two accounts. See [Sign-in methods and more than one account](/account/sign-in-and-accounts/sign-in-methods-and-more-than-one-account.md).
* **Check your role.** Coaches see coach plans and athletes see individual plans. If you see the wrong ones, change your role in your profile. See [How do I switch from coach to athlete?](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/get-started/set-up/how-do-i-switch-from-coach-to-athlete-or-athlete-to-coach.md)
* **In an organization, the admin buys and changes the plan.** If you're a staff coach, ask your admin for a coaching seat instead of buying your own plan.

## Subscribe

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
2. Tap **Upgrade**. You can also tap **See Plans** or **Explore Subscription Plans** on the banner at the top of the Home screen.
3. Choose a plan and how often you'd like to pay. For a coach plan, set **Coaches in your organization** to the number of coaches who need a seat.
4. Tap **Subscribe** and finish paying. Depending on your region, you pay through your Apple ID, or on a secure checkout page by card with Onform.

When it's done, you'll see "Your subscription is now active."
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android" %}

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
2. Tap **Upgrade**.
3. Choose a plan and how often you'd like to pay.
4. Tap **Subscribe** and finish paying with Google Play.
   {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Web" %}
You can't subscribe from inside the web app. You'll see **Subscriptions Not Available** if you try. Instead:

1. Go to [onform.com/pricing](https://onform.com/pricing/) and choose a plan.
2. Follow the steps on screen to sign in with your Onform account.
3. Pay by card on the secure checkout page.

Or subscribe in the iPhone, iPad or Android app. Your plan then works on the web too.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

### Pay by invoice

Schools, universities and organizations with several coaches usually pay by invoice. Email <support@onform.com> from the email you sign in with, and include:

* Your organization's name and billing address
* The plan you'd like (see [onform.com/pricing](https://onform.com/pricing/))
* How many coaches need a seat

## Upgrade or downgrade

How you change your plan depends on where you subscribed.

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Bought in the iPhone or iPad app (Apple)" %}

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
2. Tap **Manage Your Subscription** and choose your new plan.

You can also change it on your iPhone or iPad in **Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Onform**. Apple handles the billing, decides when the change takes effect, and gives any credit for unused time.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Bought on Android (Google Play)" %}

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
2. Tap **Manage your subscription** and choose your new plan.

Google Play handles the billing for these plans.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Bought from Onform (web, card or invoice)" %}

1. In the iPhone or iPad app, tap your profile icon on the Home screen.
2. Tap **Manage Your Subscription** and choose your new plan.
3. For an upgrade, check the **Confirm Your Upgrade** screen. It shows what you'll pay today and any credit for unused time on your current plan.
4. Tap **Confirm**. The charge goes to the card you subscribed with.

Paying by invoice, or prefer us to do it? Email <support@onform.com> from the email you sign in with and tell us the plan you'd like.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

**Upgrades** start right away. **Downgrades** start when your current paid period ends, and you keep your current plan until then. We don't give partial refunds for downgrades.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Just upgraded?** Update Onform on every device you use. On Coach Pro or Individual Premium, also go to the Home screen, tap your profile icon, then the settings icon, and tap **Fetch Latest AI Models** so 3D works.
{% endhint %}

## Move from Apple billing to a plan with Onform

You might want this to pay by invoice, add coaching seats, or use a partner discount. Apple and Onform bill separately, so cancel Apple first or you'll be charged twice.

1. On your iPhone or iPad, open **Settings**, tap your name, then **Subscriptions**.
2. Tap **Onform**, then **Cancel Subscription**. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid Apple for.
3. Email <support@onform.com> from the email you sign in with. Tell us you've cancelled with Apple, which plan you'd like, how many coaches need a seat, and your billing address.

We'll reply to set up your new plan. Onform can't refund Apple charges. To ask Apple for a refund, use Apple's [Report a Problem](https://reportaproblem.apple.com) page.

## Add coaching seats for your organization

Every coach on your staff needs a **coaching seat** to coach in your organization. Athletes and parents don't.

**To buy more seats**, email <support@onform.com> from the admin's email and tell us how many you need. Seats you add partway through your plan are charged for the time left until your renewal date, then renew with the rest of your plan.

**To give a coach a seat** (iPhone and iPad):

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
2. Tap **Manage Coach Upgrades**.
3. Tap **Upgrade** next to the coach.

To take a seat back, tap the coach's name and choose **Remove Coaching Seat**. Once a coach has a seat from your organization, they can cancel any plan of their own. See [Staff, seats and roles](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/programs/staff-seats-and-access/staff-seats-and-roles.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/account/plans-and-payments/subscribe-or-change-your-plan.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
