# Delete your account and data

Delete your Onform account in the iPhone or iPad app, or ask us to delete it. Cancel any paid subscription first.

Works on: iPhone, iPad, Android and web.

You can delete your Onform account yourself in the iPhone or iPad app, or ask us to do it for you. Deleting your account removes it along with its data, and it can't be undone.

## Before you start

* **Cancel any paid subscription first.** Deleting your account, or deleting the app, doesn't cancel a plan you bought through Apple or Google: they keep billing until you cancel with them. See [Cancel your subscription](/account/cancel-or-change/cancel-your-subscription.md).
* **Save anything you want to keep.** Export any videos you'd like to keep to your device before you delete. See [Save or export videos](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/coaching/teach-and-share/save-videos-to-your-device.md).
* **Just want to change your name?** You don't need a new account. Edit your name in your **Profile**.
* **Only want to stop working with a coach?** You can leave their workspace instead: open it and tap **Leave This Workspace**.

If you joined through a coach's invite and don't pay for Onform, there's nothing to cancel.

## Delete your account

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}

1. Open Onform and go to **Settings**.
2. Scroll to the bottom, to **Account Settings**.
3. Tap **Delete Account**.
4. Read the message, then tap **Delete Account** again to confirm.

If you still have an active subscription, the app asks you to cancel it first. For a plan bought in the app, tap **Manage Subscriptions** to cancel it with Apple, then come back and delete. For other plans, tap **Contact Support** and we'll help.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android and web" %}
There's no delete option in the Android or web app. Ask us instead:

1. Email <support@onform.com> **from the email address you sign in to Onform with**.
2. Say you'd like your account deleted, and tell us how you sign in (Apple, Google, Microsoft or an email code).
3. We'll reply to confirm once it's done.
   {% endtab %}
   {% endtabs %}

You can also email us from any device if you can't get into the app. Once your account is deleted, you can remove the app from your devices.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Signed in with Apple's Hide My Email?** Your sign-in email may look like a random address ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. If you can't tell which email you use, include your name and your coach's or organization's name, and we'll help you find the right account.
{% endhint %}

## What gets deleted

* Your account and the data in it, including your videos, are deleted. This can't be undone.
* Deleting your account doesn't cancel subscriptions you bought through Apple or Google. Cancel those first (see above).
* If you have more than one Onform account (for example one with Apple and one with Google), each is separate. Tell us about each one you'd like deleted.

Read how we handle your information in our [Privacy Policy](https://onform.com/privacy).

## For parents

If your child's account uses your email address, you can follow the steps above yourself. Otherwise, email <support@onform.com> and tell us your child's name, the email they sign in with, and their coach's or club's name, and we'll help.

If you only want your child to stop working with a coach, they can leave the coach's workspace instead.

| After deleting, signing in or signing up with the same email shows **An error occurred. Please try again.** | Email <support@onform.com> from that address and tell us what you'd like to do. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/account/privacy/delete-your-account-and-data.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
