# Post a video to Instagram, TikTok or Facebook

Post an Onform video or Voice-over to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or any other app, straight from the app or by saving it to your device first.

Works on: iPhone, iPad, Android and web. The web app can't send a video straight to another app: save it to your computer, then upload it.

Show off a personal best, a drill or a before-and-after. Onform hands the video file to Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or any other app on your phone, or you can save it to your device and post it from there.

## Before you start

* The video needs to have finished uploading. If it's only in the cloud, Onform downloads it first, so you need a connection.
* Want your coaching in the post? [Record a Voice-over](/coaching/analyze/how-to-record-a-voiceover.md) first and post that. Drawings you make on a video aren't part of the file you post, but a Voice-over includes your drawings and your voice.
* Need a shorter clip? On iPhone and iPad, trim it first and choose **Save as new video** so you keep the full rep. See [Your Library](/coaching/record-and-import/features-of-the-video-library.md#trim-or-rotate-a-video-iphone-and-ipad).
* Posting someone else's video, or a video of an athlete? Check they're happy for it to be public, and for younger athletes ask a parent too.

## Post a video

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}

1. In the Library, touch and hold the video. (Or open the video and tap **Share** at the top.)
2. Tap **Share**.
3. On **Select Recipients**, tap the **⋯** button at the top right.
4. Tap **Share To Other Apps**.
5. Tap Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or another app in the list, and finish the post there. If you don't see the app, tap **Save Video**, then open the app and pick the video from your photos.
   {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android and web" %}
**Android:**

1. In the Library, tap the three dots next to the video.
2. Tap **Share to other apps**.
3. Pick Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or another app, and finish the post there.

Or tap **Save to Downloads Folder**, then open the social app and pick the video from your phone.

**Web app:**

1. In the Library, click the three dots next to the video.
2. Click **Save to Downloads Folder**.
3. Go to the social site and upload the video from your computer's Downloads folder.
   {% endtab %}
   {% endtabs %}

To post several videos at once, select them in the Library first, then follow the same steps. See [Save or export videos](/coaching/teach-and-share/save-videos-to-your-device.md#save-several-videos-at-once).

## Good to know

* **Voice-overs are widescreen.** On iPhone and iPad, a Voice-over is saved in a widescreen frame. Check how it looks in the social app's preview before you post.
* **Multi-Cam videos** come out as one file for each camera angle, so post the angle you want.
* **Rather share a link?** **Copy Link** (next to **Share To Other Apps**) gives you a link that anyone can open in a web browser, no Onform account needed. Anyone who has the link can watch, so only post it where you mean to.

| It takes a long time before the share options appear | Onform is downloading the video first. Keep Onform open with a good connection. |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/coaching/teach-and-share/how-to-share-videos-to-social-media-like-facebook-and-instagram.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
