# Recent Activity

Recent Activity on your Home screen collects new messages, reactions, joins, watched videos, shared files and @mentions from all your workspaces in one list.

Works on: iPhone, iPad, Android and web.

**Recent Activity** gathers what's happened across all your workspaces in one list, so you don't have to open each athlete or team to catch up. It's on your Home screen, with a badge showing how many items you haven't read.

## What it shows

Tap a filter at the top to see one kind of activity:

| Filter           | What's in it                                                                        |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **All** | Everything below, newest first. |
| **Messages** | New messages to you, in your groups and in **Everyone**. |
| **Reactions** | People reacting to your messages. |
| **Joins** | People joining your workspaces. Tap one to welcome them with a message. |
| **Watched** | Who watched a video (or opened an image or file) you shared, and which one. |
| **Shared Files** | New videos and files shared with you, including ones added to a shared **Library**. |
| **@ Mentions**   | Messages that mention you.                                                          |

Tap any item to open it: a message opens the chat, and a video opens in the player.

Coaches: when an athlete records or imports into a workspace whose **Library** is shared, it shows here under **Shared Files** rather than as a chat message. See [Default private or default shared Libraries](/coaching/teach-and-share/library-visibility-and-sharing-options-default-private-or-default-shared.md).

## Catch up on what's new

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}

1. On Home, tap **Recent Activity**.
2. To see only what you haven't read, tap **Unread** at the bottom right. Tap it again to see everything.
3. To clear the list, tap the **…** button at the top and choose **Mark all as read**.
4. To tidy up one item, touch and hold it and tap **Mark as read** or **Delete**.
   {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android and web" %}

1. On Home, tap **Recent Activity**.
2. To see only what you haven't read, tap the envelope button at the top. Tap it again to see everything.
3. To clear the list, open the menu at the top and choose **Mark all as read**.
   {% endtab %}
   {% endtabs %}

## How far back it goes

How much history you see depends on your plan. If your plan doesn't include it, you'll see "Your current plan does not have access to activity feed." If it limits it, you'll see how many days you can see. Tap **Upgrade** to see the options, or, if you coach for an organization, ask your admin. Plans are at [onform.com/pricing](https://onform.com/pricing/).

## If something goes wrong

| What you see | What to do |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| "Video from member hasn't fully uploaded. Please try again later." | The person who sent it is still uploading. Try again in a few minutes. |
| "You no longer have access to this file" | It was deleted, or sharing was taken back. Ask the person who shared it. |
| A message that you're no longer part of the workspace | You've left or been removed from it. Ask the coach to invite you again. |
| A video won't open from Recent Activity | Open it from the workspace's **Library** instead, and update Onform to the latest version. |
| You expected a notification but it's only here | Everything is listed here even when a notification is late or turned off. See [Not getting notifications?](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/help/troubleshooting/notifications-not-arriving.md). |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/coaching/teach-and-share/recent-activity.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
