# What is Onform?

Onform is a video coaching app for coaches, athletes and parents in any sport, on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web.

Works on: iPhone, iPad, Android and web.

Onform is a video coaching app. Coaches use it to film their athletes, break down technique, and send feedback their athletes can watch again and again. Athletes use it to see what their coach sees, send practice clips, and track their own progress. It replaces the mix of camera rolls, texts and group chats that coaching video usually gets lost in.

## Who it's for

* **Coaches** in any sport: private coaches and instructors, coaches on staff at an academy or club, directors who run a program, and school, college and pro team coaches and analysts.
* **Athletes**, whether a coach invited them or they're training on their own.
* **Parents** who want to follow their child's lessons.

## What it does

* **Record and import** video of a rep, a swing, a stroke or a routine.
* **Analyze** it with slow motion, drawing tools, angles and Compare (two videos side by side).
* **Teach** with Voice-overs: you talk through the video while you draw on it, and Onform saves it as a new video for your athlete.
* **Share and chat** in a private workspace for each athlete or team.
* **Stay organized** with a Library for every athlete, Collections to group them, and Organizations for programs with several coaches.

For the full picture in a few minutes, read [Onform in 5 minutes](/start-here/onform-in-5-minutes.md).

## Which apps

* **iPhone and iPad:** the full app, from the App Store. It has every feature, including Multi-Cam, 3D and launch monitors.
* **Android:** from Google Play. Covers recording, importing, Voice-over, Compare, chat and sharing.
* **Web app:** at [app.getonform.com](https://app.getonform.com/) in your browser. For watching, uploading, chat, sharing and running your organization. You can't record or use Compare there.
* **Apple Watch:** works as a remote for the Onform camera on your iPhone.

Your account, videos and plan are the same on every app you sign in to. See [What works on which app](/how-onform-works/what-works-on-which-app.md).

## What it costs

Athletes and parents invited by a coach use Onform free. Coaches need a coach plan, or a coaching seat from their club or school, and athletes training without a coach can buy an individual plan. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. ## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/how-onform-works/what-is-onform.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
