# Edit your profile

Change your name, profile photo, sport and role in Onform, add background photos to the workspaces you share with athletes, and find where your lesson booking links and sign-in methods live.

Works on: iPhone, iPad, Android and web. Background photos are on iPhone and iPad only.

Your profile is your name and photo as your coach, athletes and teammates see them, plus your sport and your role.

## Open your profile

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon (your photo, or your initials if you haven't added one).
2. Tap **Edit Profile**. Coaches and staff see **Edit Your Profile & Lesson Booking Links**.
3. Make your changes, then tap **Done**.
   {% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android and web" %}

1. On the Home screen, tap your profile icon.
2. Tap **Edit Profile**.
3. Make your changes, then tap **Update**. You'll see "Profile Successfully Updated".
   {% endtab %}
   {% endtabs %}

## Your name

Change **First Name** and **Last Name**. Use your own name, not a business name: it's what people see next to your messages. To show your club or academy's name, edit your organization's profile instead. See [Quick start: run a program](/start-here/program-director.md).

## Your photo

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}
Tap the camera button on your picture and choose a photo.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android and web" %}
Tap your picture, then choose **Camera** to take one or **Gallery** to pick one.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

A clear headshot works best, so your athletes recognize you. Put your logo on your organization's profile rather than your own.

## Your sport

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="iPhone and iPad" %}
Tap **Primary Sport**, search for your sport and tap it. If it isn't in the list, type its name and tap **Select your sport as** followed by the name.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Android and web" %}
Tap **Select Sport** and choose your sport.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

Your sport sets the words Onform uses, such as Golfer or Swimmer, and which sport-specific tools you see. See [What sports can I use Onform for?](/how-onform-works/what-sports-can-use-the-onform-app.md)

## Your role

Tap **Your Role** (iPhone and iPad) or **Select Role** (Android and web). Your role decides whether you need a plan, so read [Switch from coach to athlete (or athlete to coach)](/set-up/how-do-i-switch-from-coach-to-athlete-or-athlete-to-coach.md) before you change it.

## Your mobile number (Android and web)

Enter it under **Mobile Number**. Tap the country code to change it.

## Background photos (coaches, iPhone and iPad)

A background photo shows at the top of the workspaces you share with your athletes and teams, like a banner for your brand, club or team. If you coach at two clubs, or two sports, you can keep a photo for each.

1. In your profile, scroll to **Background Photo** and tap **+**.
2. Choose a photo and crop it. Onform crops it to a wide banner, twice as wide as it is tall. It's saved straight away.

Touch and hold a photo to choose:

* **Apply to all teams and individuals**: use it in every workspace you manage.
* **Remove background photo**: remove it from your profile and from every workspace that uses it.

To pick a different photo for one workspace:

* **A team:** open the team, tap the three dots next to the team name, then tap **Edit Team Profile**. Tap a photo under **Background Photo**, then tap **Done**.
* **One athlete:** touch and hold the athlete's name, tap **Edit** *name*'**s Details**, tap a photo under **Background Photo**, then tap **Save**.

You only see **Background Photo** if your role is **Coach** or **Assistant Coach**.

## Lesson booking links

Your lesson booking links have their own screen, with one link for your Personal Account and one for each organization you coach in. Athletes see a **Book Lesson** button in their workspace with you.

* **iPhone and iPad:** in your profile, tap **Lesson Booking Links**.
* **Android and web:** tap your profile icon, then **Booking Links**.

Only coaches and staff can add a link. See [Let athletes book lessons with you](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/coaching/grow-your-coaching-business/bookings-and-scheduling-links.md).

## Sign-in methods

The email and method you sign in with aren't part of your profile, and you can't edit your sign-in email directly. On iPhone and iPad, tap your profile icon, then **Sign In Methods**, to add another way to sign in (Apple, Google, Microsoft or email) and remove the old one. See [Sign-in methods and more than one account](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/account/sign-in-and-accounts/sign-in-methods-and-more-than-one-account.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/set-up/how-to-edit-your-profile.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
