# Use the Sensor Edge pressure mat with Onform

Connect Sensor Edge Dynamix Duo pressure plates to Onform on iPad or iPhone, calibrate at address, and see your golfer's pressure shift in sync with the swing video.

Works on: iPad and iPhone (iPad recommended). Not in the Android or web app.

The Sensor Edge Dynamix Duo pressure plates show how your golfer moves pressure between the lead and trail side, and from heel to toe, through the swing. Connect them to Onform and the pressure trace is recorded with every swing video, perfectly in sync, so you can scrub through the swing and see where the pressure was at each moment. The plates are wireless, so there are no cables to the iPad.

## Before you start

* **Sensor Edge Dynamix Duo plates**, charged. Onform works with the Dynamix Duo plates only. You can buy them from [Sensor Edge](https://sensoredgesports.com/sport/golf).
* **An iPad** (recommended, for the bigger view) or an iPhone, with the latest version of Onform.
* **Golf as your sport.** The pressure mat is for golf for now.
* **Your plan:** see [onform.com/pricing](https://onform.com/pricing/) for which plans include the pressure mat.

Older BodiTrak mats no longer work with Onform.

## Connect the plates

1. Turn on the Dynamix Duo plates.
2. On your iPad, open **Settings** > **Wi-Fi** and join the plates' Wi-Fi network. Sensor Edge's instructions tell you its name.
3. Open Onform, go to your golfer's workspace and tap **Library** (or tap **Library - All Files** on Home).
4. Tap the record button. When the camera opens, the pressure view appears next to the camera picture on its own.

## Calibrate at address

Onform reads every swing against how your golfer stands at address, so the numbers mean the same thing wherever they set up on the plates.

1. When the pressure view says **Step onto the pressure mat**, have your golfer step on and take their address.
2. When it says **Hold still to calibrate**, they hold still for about 2 seconds.
3. **Pressure mat calibrated** appears briefly, then goes away. You're ready to hit.

If your golfer steps off for a few seconds, Onform calibrates again when they step back on. To calibrate again without stepping off, for example after they change their stance, tap the **...** button on the pressure view and tap **Recalibrate**.

The same menu has **Rotate** and **Mirror**, to turn the pressure view so it matches what the camera sees, for example for a left-handed golfer or a camera filming face-on from the other side.

## Record swings

Record as you normally would, in any of these modes: **Manual**, **One-Tap**, **Auto-Detect** or **Launch-Monitor**. The pressure data is saved with each swing video. See [Record video in Onform](https://github.com/Onform-Inc/onform-docs/tree/main/get-started/how-onform-works/recording-modes.md).

The pressure mat doesn't work while your iPad is the Multi-Cam control device (**Set As Control Device** turned on). Turn it off to use the pressure mat again.

## What the pressure view shows

* **A heatmap** of both feet, colored by how much pressure each part of the foot carries compared with address.
* **A trace** of the center of pressure, so you can follow how it moves through the swing.
* **Percentages** around the plates: how much pressure is on the heel and toe of each foot, and how it's split between the two feet.

## Watch it with the video

1. Open the swing video in the Library.
2. If the pressure view isn't already showing, tap the **AI tools** button (the sparkles icon) and tap **Show Pressure**.
3. Play or scrub the video. The pressure view moves with it, frame by frame.

To change how the pressure view faces, tap the footprints button on the pressure view and tap **Rotate** or **Mirror**. To hide it, tap **AI tools** > **Hide Pressure**.

You don't need 3D to see pressure, but on plans that include 3D you can show both together for a full picture of the swing. See [3D swing data and visuals](/sports/golf-analysis/using-3d-data-and-visualization.md).

The pressure view shows when you watch in Onform on iPad and iPhone.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.onform.com/sports/launch-monitors-and-golf-hardware/sensor-edge-pressure-mat.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
